INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -

IMPD officials say a man is in custody after a 5 hour standoff with police.

Police say a man barricaded himself in a house on the east side, but was taken into custody about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say this incident may be related to a shooting at a motel earlier Saturday, but won't know for sure until after interviews are complete.

Police, including SWAT, were at the house in the 1500 block of Temple Avenue starting about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.  Police cars were lined up all along Brookside Parkway and Rural Street.

Officials say no one else was in the house during the standoff.  Initial reports indicate the man was not armed.
