FRANKLIN -

Police have released new details about Monday night's murder-suicide in Franklin that ended with three people dead.

Authorities say the gunman was armed to do a lot of damage and had ammunition visible in his car.

Investigators have now identified the alleged gunman as 21-year-old Andrew Parish. Authorities say Parish used a handgun in the shootings and left a suicide note before taking his own life with an AK-47 assault rifle.

Police say the victims who died include 19-year-old Sara Davidson, a friend of his former girlfriend. Ernest Jasper, 46, was a neighbor.

The shootings happened at two separate locations in Franklin.

Police found four victims in a home on Bridlewood Drive on the northeast side of the city. Police say the shootings stemmed from a domestic dispute in the residence.

Officers found another person dead in a car on County Road 400 North.

Investigators say it all started at 10:30 pm Monday when Andrew Parish walked into the home on Bridlewood and shot four people, killing Sara Davidson. Then he left the scene in a dark-colored Mustang.

Police located Parish about three miles away a short time later. When they approached the car, he shot and killed himself with an assault rifle.

Neighbors are stunned by the violence.

"This is a pretty quiet neighborhood. We have our problems like every neighborhood does, but nothing like this. I was pretty shocked," said Tim Hubbard, resident.

Police say two others were shot Monday night. 21-year-old Dustin Grey is in stable condition at Eskenazi Hospital. The other victim was treated and released.
