Two officers were injured overnight while trying to break up a fight at a downtown bar.
IMPD officials say an off-duty officer was working at the Hyde at Blu Lounge, 20 W. Louisiana Street.
It was about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when the officer called for help because a fight broke out inside. More people got involved in the fight and it spilled out onto the street.
Officers from all over the city were called to help get the situation under control. Officers used a pepper ball and mace to try to break up the fight.
One officer was punched in the face. Another officer was bitten.
The crowd eventually disbursed but police did arrest four people.
