Highs will reach the low 30s Friday with cloudy skies and a chance of snow showers. A better chance of snow moves in Friday night, and freezing rain will be possible too.
We are not expecting a lot of snow Friday night - up to 1″ in the Indy metro area with up to 2″ in north central Indiana. What makes Friday night's forecast tricky is that warmer air will be moving in, so we will see a period of freezing rain and possibly sleet before it all transitions to rain by Saturday morning.
Saturday highs will reach the low to mid 40s with scattered showers. It will be very breezy with wind gusts out of the southwest up to 25 mph. Late Saturday evening,a brief transition to a wintry mix is possible.
Sunday will be cold and dry with highs in the 20s.
We're still watching a potential winter storm for next Tuesday and Wednesday. Does snow look likely? Yes. How much? It's too early to say. The track of the storm is not yet determined, but once that sets up later this weekend, we will be able to gauge preliminary snow totals.
This is a system to watch, so we will keep you posted on the latest information, so stay tuned.
