IMPD identifies E. 38th St. shooting victim

INDIANAPOLIS -

Metro Police have identified the man who was killed in a shooting overnight.

Troy Grayson, 38, was shot inside a car at E. 38th St. and Keystone Ave. at around 9:30 pm Monday, along with his passenger. Officers found the two men shot inside a car parked in a fast food restaurant parking lot.

Grayson was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other man, described by police as in his 20's, was taken to Eskenazi Health in serious but stable condition.

IMPD Lt. Chris Bailey told Eyewitness News that investigators are trying to determine exactly where the shooting happened. Shell casings were discovered along a wide area of eastbound 38th St. and northbound Keystone Ave.

Bailey said the gunfire may have come from a vehicle. Police haven't said if they have a suspect in the case.
