A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10am this morning. While most of the snow accumulation will be over by then, blowing and drifting snow will continue to be a concern into tonight. Temps will also plummet into the single digits by early this evening.
We've already reached our high temp for the day this morning, now we'll fall to 11 degrees by 5pm. Winds will gust out of the west up to 40mph today, so snow will likely cover roadways, even after they've been plowed/cleared.
Tonight temps fall to 2 degrees. Late tonight/early tomorrow morning more snow develops.
Sunday 1-3" of snow will be possible. The bulk of the snow looks to fall before noon, with scattered snow showers for the afternoon into Monday morning. Sunday is the warmest day on the 7 day with highs in the upper 20s.
Starting Monday, dangerous cold moves in with highs around zero and subzero lows. At times Monday through Wednesday, the wind chill will feel like -15 to -40. The most brutal wind chills will be Tuesday.
Stay safe, check on family, friends, neighbors, and make sure to bring your pets inside.
