Ball State students will be taking Friday night and Saturday classes to make up the days they missed in early January due to the extreme cold.
Ball State shut down January 6-7 because wind chills dipped to 5 degrees below zero. Those were the first two days of Ball State's spring semester. Indiana and Purdue didin't resume classes until the following week.
BSU officials say the other two options for making up the days were extending the sememster or taking time away from spring break.
