Richard Sherman explains his post-game behavior
Monday, January 20, 2014 2:27 PM EST
Seattle Seahawks Cornerback Richard Sherman responded Monday to his rant on live television following his game saving play in the NFC Championship game Sunday night.
Sherman deflected a Colin Kaepernick last second pass intended for San Francisco wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Sherman's teammate intercepted the ball to end the game.
Sherman went on a tirade against Crabtree when FOX's Erin Andrews asked him about the way the game ended.
Monday morning, Sherman explained the incident on SI.com saying, "It was loud, it was in the moment, and it was just a small part of the person I am. I don't want to be a villain, because I'm not a villainous person."

Reaction on social media has been mixed.
The Colts Darius Butler said on Twitter, "Why do ppl have such a big problem w/ Sherman n his antics!?"
New England Patriots QB
was more critical of Sherman,"'We win with graciousness. I have respect for my opponents...some teams don't always do that"
and the Seahawks will take on Peyton and the Broncos February 2 in Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey.
