Indiana Historical Society, 450 W. Ohio St.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., guests can enjoy free admission as well as hands-on activities, historic gym classes featuring calisthenics from the 1930s and two special exhibits. In addition, storyteller Deborah Asante will perform at 1:30 p.m.

Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, 500 W. Washington St.

Enjoy free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a non-perishable canned food donation, which will go to Gleaners Food Bank.

Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 N. Michigan Road

The museum will offer free admission from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities for the day include the film, "Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin," who's remembered as a March on Washington organizer and performances by Freetown Village Singers and No BS! brass band.

Rhythm! Discovery Center, 110 W. Washington St.

The center will offer a special presentation with the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation about Indianapolis' jazz tradition. There will also be a presentation of "Speak Out and Be Heard" by Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra percussionist, Paul Berns.

 Indianapolis Zoo, 1200 W. Washington St.

Throughout the day, visitors will stuff donated canned goods inside one of the zoo's signature service vehicles and the person who comes closest to guessing the total number of cans wins a Dolphin Art Adventure. Admission is free with a canned good.

Indy Reads Books, 911 Massachusetts Ave.

Adults and children are invited to help organize shelves and sort through donations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the store. Visit www.indyreadsbooks.org for more information.

IUPUI, 420 University Blvd.

Volunteer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at various sites around Indianapolis for a day of service. Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at the IUPUI campus center, 420 University Blvd. for registration.

The Children's Museum, 3000 N. Meridian St.

Free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be special activities and performances throughout the day.

Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers

Learn fun ways to invest money, play games and participate in other activities. Free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

IMAX Theater and Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St.

Enjoy the premiere of "Journey to the South Pacific" in 3D at the IMAX. Check www.imax.com for showings. The Indiana State Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and both activities are free with a canned good donation.

NCAA Hall of Champions, 700 W. Washington St.

Tour the new exhibit that highlights the contributions of athletes from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The exhibit also shows how academics was just as important as wining. Kids of all ages are invited to participate in fitness clinics with former and current NCAA student-athletes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be opportunities to win official NCAA merchandise throughout the day. Admission is free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
