National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy seeks nominations for outstanding U.S. grantmakers for exemplary work in 2013
WASHINGTON, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP; www.ncrp.org) today announced a call for nominations for the 2014 NCRP Impact Awards (www.ncrp.org/impact-awards). In its 2nd year, the awards celebrate foundations of all shapes and sizes that have shown leadership, innovation and commitment to solving the country's toughest problems. The nominations are open to all and should be submitted by March 1, 2014.
NCRP recognizes and honors those grantmakers practicing high-impact philanthropy in four categories: large private foundation, small/mid-sized private foundation, corporate foundation and grantmaking public charity. These foundations maximize the impact of their giving by attacking the root causes of social problems, empowering underserved communities and helping improve the philanthropic sector as a whole through public leadership.
Awardees will be honored during a reception coinciding with the Council on Foundations' annual conference in June in Washington, D.C.
Last year's NCRP Impact Awardees include the California Community Foundation, Levi Strauss Foundation, NoVo Foundation and Woods Fund of Chicago. Additional information about the NCRP Impact Awards and nomination forms are available at www.ncrp.org/impact-awards.
Since 1976, the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy has served as the voice of nonprofits and the communities they serve in philanthropy. Through research and advocacy, NCRP works to ensure philanthropy that contributes in meaningful ways to the creation of a fair, just and equitable world. We promote philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity.
