Light snow is in the forecast Thursday night. Any accumulations will be an inch or less. As milder air starts to move our way, that light snow may mix with a light wintry mix. Most of the light precipitation will end late tonight or early Friday morning. More rain is on the way for Friday afternoon.
Temperatures will be in the range of 25-30 degrees this evening and then start to move above freezing early Friday morning. There will be a few dry hours early in the day, but a steady rain will start to fall Friday afternoon. The rain chances will last through early Saturday. With melting snow and about .50″ of rain, there will be some lowland flooding concerns this weekend. If you live by a river, keep in mind the melting will continue into next week and there will be some rises in levels.
Looking ahead to next week, we are not tracking any significant weather system. There will be a weak one or 2 that will bring a chance for light rain to light snow later Monday into Tuesday. High temperatures fall back into the 20s and 30s for the middle of next week, but there are signs of more mild air toward the end of next week.
