A winter storm warning is in effect for central Indiana from 4am Sunday through 1am Monday.
All of the latest computer model information is in and there is still .80"-.90" of available moisture with this still developing winter storm. This means there is the potential for 8-10 inches of snow for central Indiana, with a few places getting near a foot.
We are watching closely some warmer air across our southern counties. If we get some rain mixing with the snow, snow totals will be much lighter south. This is just one reason we will be tracking this storm hour by hour for you. Our team coverage will keep you updated all day Sunday.
Winds will increase Sunday night NW 20-30 mph, causing blowing and drifting snow.
As the snow ends, bitter cold arrives. We go below zero early Monday morning and may stay below zero through Wednesday morning. Wind chills will near -40...dangerously low.
Make sure you check on your pets and neighbors, during this winter storm.
You can track the storm with us, by downloading the WTHR Skytrak13 weather app.
Remember to send us your pictures (firstname.lastname@example.org) and your snow totals.
