INDIANAPOLIS -

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 7:00 pm for central Indiana.

As of Thursday morning, the heaviest snow was falling from along I-70 north. Totals will range from four to five inches with a few pockets of higher totals. The heaviest snow will end later this morning with light snow showers for midday/afternoon.

Totals as of 6:50am:

Beech Grove:  5"

NWS Indianapolis:  5.7"

New Palestine:  4"

Knightstown:  3.8"

Broad Ripple:  3.6"

Carmel:  3"

Lebanon:  3"

Cicero 2.75"

Kokomo:  2.5"

Temperatures will fall into the teens this afternoon with wind gusts up to 30mph out of the north, creating blowing and drifting.
