Six recruits sign financial aid deals with Indiana

Six football recruits have signed financial aid deals with Indiana - the first official step to having those players join the program.

It guarantees those players will have scholarships at Indiana if they sign to play with the Hoosiers. They could still sign with another program, though not in the Big Ten.

Coach Kevin Wilson made the announcement Tuesday.

Only one player, offensive lineman DeAndre Herron, has actually signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the Hoosiers. Herron played prep football at Avon and is a junior college transfer.

Those who agreed to the aid package are offensive linemen Delroy Baker and Tim Gardner, quarterback Alexander Diamont, tight end Jordan Fuchs and receiver Dominique Booth.

Wilson is expected to sign a full 25-recruit class Feb. 5, national signing day.
