NOBLESVILLE -

An Indianapolis man is in the Hamilton County Jail awaiting formal charges of burglary and theft.

He was arrested Sunday morning after a traffic stop by Carmel Police led Noblesville Police to discover several break-ins at offices in the 400 block of Sheridan Road.

Police say Anthony Wayne Reed, 52, Indianapolis was stopped by Carmel Police around 9:45 a.m. at 106th Street and Keystone Parkway in Carmel.

When Carmel officers discovered several televisions and laptop computers inside Reed's vehicle, some of the contents suggested a possible connection to a dental clinic or office.

That's when Noblesville Police began to check local businesses and subsequently discovered the offices on Sheridan Road that appeared to have been burglarized.

The businesses included Noblesville Family Dentistry, Meridian Title and Noblesville Foot Clinic.

Detectives believe that doors were pried open to gain entry, and the owners reported missing items matching what police found in Reed's vehicle.
