IMPD searches for suspect who shot 17-year-old

INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were called to the 3000 block of Webster Avenue to the Fredrick Square apartments near 30th and Arlington just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday to the report of a person shot. 

Officers arrived and found a 17-year-old black man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  He was transported by IEMS to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition.  Police have not released his name.

Police say they are canvassing the area for potential witnesses, and were provided a suspect description:  Black male, unknown height, wearing all black including a hoodie with a sliver stripe and armed with a handgun.
