IMPD investigates 3rd death; victim suffered head trauma

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA -

Indianapolis Metro Police are investigating a third possible homicide Saturday, saying the victim suffered head trauma.  Detectives could not confirm if the victim suffered any gunshot wounds.

At approximately 9:38 p.m., IMPD was dispatched to the 400 block of West 26th Street on a possible deceased person. When officers arrived, they found an unidentified unresponsive male deceased inside the house.

Detectives have not yet determined if the victim suffered any gunshot wounds, but have determined the victim suffered some type of head trauma.

The identity of the victim is not yet being released.

The Marion County Coroner's Office will likely determine a cause and manner of death sometime after the initial autopsy is completed.
