Marysville woman accused of stealing $114,000

NEW ALBANY -

A southeastern Indiana woman is accused of stealing $114,000 from a maritime company she worked for.

The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., and the News and Tribune in New Albany report 27-year-old Jennifer Jekel of Marysville has been indicted by a federal grand jury in in Evansville on one count of access device fraud and four counts of wire fraud. She is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

Court records did not indicate whether she has hired an attorney.

The indictment alleges Jekel had bank new credit cards for Hornblower Marine Service without her bosses' knowledge. U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says she surrendered to authorities on Thursday.
