Indianapolis police searching for hit and run driver

INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle and driver involved in a hit and run accident on Saturday evening. 

Officers were called to the 5700 block of South Franklin Road at 6:45 p.m. Saturday on the report of a person struck. Police arrived and found Cindy Urich had been seriously injured.  She was transported to IU Health-Methodist Hospital where she remained in critical condition late Sunday night. 

Detectives are looking for a black Toyota, four-door, with Indiana license plate FW2353 that left the scene and has damage to the driver's side.
