Snow update and weekend forecast

Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS -

The first round of snow moved into central Indiana between 7:00-9:00 Friday evening. The first round produced about an inch of snow.  More snow is moving into the state and snow will continue to fall through at least mid-day Saturday.

A winter storm warning remains in effect for Indianapolis north and a winter weather advisory is in effect south.

Snow totals for much of our area will be 3-5 inches. There will be higher totals 4-6 inches of snow north and lower totals 1-3 inches of snow south. Slick roads were reported and more are expected overnight and on Saturday.  Travel with caution and be prepared for it to take longer to get where you need to go.
