Well problems leave Lakeville school closed again

Students at a northern Indiana school are getting more days off but it has nothing to do with the weather.

The Union-North United School Corp. says LaVille Junior-Senior High School in Lakeville will be closed again Monday and Tuesday due to ongoing problems with its water well.

WSBT-TV reports the problems began Nov. 5 when students, teachers and staff were left without water and working toilets. The school corporation installed a new pump in the well, but it broke, and the school closed for six days over two weeks.

There's no word on when the well issues might be resolved at the school about 10 miles south of South Bend.
