    A nationwide shortage of psychiatrists is forcing many mentally ill Indiana patients to wait months for an appointment.The Health Resources and Services Administration reports more than half the state's counties have a shortage of mental health professionals. FISHERS -

A 38-year-old man from Fishers was killed in a crash on State Road 37 and 126th Street Sunday evening.

Fishers Police identified the victim as Michael S. Bische.

According to police, a 17-year-old woman driving a a 2001 Chrysler was attempting to make a left turn onto Reynolds Drive from westbound 126th St. Bische, who was driving a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle, was eastbound on 126th.

Police say they don't know if the vehicles collided or if the motorcycle lost control trying to avoid a collision with the Chrysler. Bische was ejected and severely injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver was not injured.

Officers assigned to the Fishers Police Department's Crash Team were called to the scene to collect information and reconstruct the crash. The intersection was closed for two hours while officers conducted their investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
