Grant County cleaning up from Sunday's tornadoes

Grant County was hit hard by two tornadoes on Sunday.

Grant County's emergency management director tells Eyewitness News the damage includes 47 homes and 14 mobile homes. Two people were injured, including someone hurt when their mobile home tipped over.

One of the hardest hit areas is the northeast side of the county at Summit Village, near State Road 18 and I-69. A micro-burst hit the Dollar General warehouse, knocking down walls and flipping over trailers.The west side of Grant County was also hit hard.

The strongest tornado to hit Grant County was an EF-2 with winds of 135 miles per hour. That twister damaged several homes and knocked trees down.

There are 1,900 people still without electricity, although they've been told their power should be restored Thursday.
