INDIANAPOLIS -

Seven people were forced from their homes after a van swiped the corner of their apartment building early Sunday morning.

Around midnight, the Wayne Township Fire Department was called to Heather Ridge Apartments on the west side, near I-74 and I-465.

The run was initially dispatched as a structure collapse.  Once crews arrived on the scene, however, they determined the driver of a van had lost control and hit the corner of the apartment building on Heather Ridge Drive.

Two apartments were damaged, displacing seven people.

There were no injuries, but officials say the driver was arrested.  Officials also say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
