Family and friends are concerned about Ashley Morris Mullis, a missing Muncie woman.

"It's just awful," says Kevin Wilson, a friend of the missing mother of three. "You don't know what to think, what to do, what to say."

Ashley's mother says it's been upsetting for her youngest grandson.

"He ran up to the house and was hollering for his mommy," Leander Morris says. "She wasn't there."

Ashley, 27, the mother of a five-year-old, a two-year-old and a baby, disappeared more than 30 days ago.

Her mother says Ashley wasn't upset or troubled last September 16th when she dropped off the infant with it's father.

Morris says her daughter had learned police had an arrest warrant for her before she disappeared, but says the charge was a minor one.

Ashley was accused of neglecting two pit bulls. Ashley said at the time that she thought her husband was taking care of the dogs. Both had moved out of the house. The dogs had stayed behind.

"I don't think she would have done jail time," her mother told us. "Think she would have run because of that? No, I'm not thinking so."

"It's not like her to just up and take off," Leander said, with three young children in the picture.

"I want her to know she's loved, missed. Her kids love her. Her kids need her and want her home desperately."

"It's just devastating, Wilson said. "If it was my own child, I don't know how I'd cope."
