CLRN has reviewed and approved i-Ready for social content
NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Curriculum Associates' i-Ready® Diagnostic & Instruction Reading for Grades K–8 was recently reviewed by the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN) and has met its criteria for English-Language Arts. CLRN provides California educators with a "one-stop" resource providing critical information needed in the selection of supplemental electronic learning resources aligned to the California State Board of Education academic content standards.
To view the K–8 i-Ready Diagnostic & Instruction Reading listing on the CLRN website, visit http://clrn.org/search/details.cfm?elrid=10362.
The CLRN review process utilizes State Board of Education-approved review criteria and covers the areas of Legal Compliance, Standards Alignment, and Minimum Requirements. CLRN serves to identify and review supplemental electronic learning resources, such as software, video, and Internet resources; identify learning units aligned to resources and the state academic content standards; and maintain an interactive website to provide information about electronic learning resources through an online searchable database and links to state education technology projects and resources.
"i-Ready Diagnostic & Instruction not only provides a predictive measure of student performance on high-stakes assessments based on its adaptive nature, it offers a robust instructional solution to improve student outcomes," said Rob Waldron, CEO of Curriculum Associates. "Meeting CLRN's rigorous review and being approved for social content further reinforces i-Ready's overall validity and reliability, and impact in helping students in California-and across the country-succeed."
More About i-Ready
Built for the Common Core, i-Ready Diagnostic & Instruction helps students make real gains. It combines a valid and reliable assessment measure and personalized instruction into a single online product that saves teachers time at a fraction of the cost of similar products.
The adaptive Diagnostic pinpoints student needs down to the sub-skill level and generates a combination of online instruction and downloadable teacher-led lessons targeted to each student's needs. These individualized learning plans are easy to understand and implement.
i-Ready Diagnostic & Instruction's recently added Progress Monitoring assessment tool for grades K–8 provides a global outcome measure for both reading and mathematics and allows educators to more quickly intervene in student instruction.
