Zeb Knutson scored four goals as Sioux Falls spoiled the Indiana Ice home opener Friday at pan Am Pavilion.
Knutson's fourth goal of the game came with 4:36 left in the third period, giving the Stampede a 6-5 win.
Joseph Sullivan scored twice and Alex Talcott added a goal and two assists for the Ice. Patrick Newell scored to tie the game at 5-5 on a one-timer with 7:47 remaining.
The Ice will play their next three games on the road in Michigan before returning home for an October 12 game against Youngstown at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
