NBC's Parks and Recreation is coming to Indianapolis this week.
The crew shot scenes at Lucas Oil Stadium with Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott, Retta and Jim O'Heir.
Actor Jim O'Heir, who plays Jerry on Parks and Rec, visited WTHR's studios Monday.
"We're back at the stadium today. We were there last year and we had an amazing time. I think they had a good time. I think they kind of asked us this year if we can work it out, and it happened," he said.
But instead of last year's bachelor party episode, which was "all the guys," as O'Heir put it, female cast members are also in town for the shoot.
The cast went to St. Elmo's Sunday. "I'm not a horseradish kind of guy, but I did a sample," he said. "Oh! But the people were going crazy for it. A little too much for me."
The Pacers' Roy Hibbert, who's been in two episodes of Parks and Rec, stopped by to say hello to the cast.
"He stopped to see us...he is the kindest dude. And he's 7'2"!! I have a picture with him and I'm just under his shoulder!" he said.
O'Heir describes Jerry, his character on Parks and Rec, as a kind of human punching bag. "If you've got something bad to say, say it to Jerry!"
Jerry was even set on fire during his retirement party.
But O'Heir credits co-creator Mike Schur with the idea of not being able to sustain the character if he's constantly getting beaten up.
"And he goes home to Christie Brinkley and three beautiful daughters," said O'Heir.
Watch Parks and Rec on WTHR Channel 13 Thursdays at 8:00 pm.
