Lafayette police seek bank robbery suspect

Lafayette Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a bank Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the alarm at the Regions Bank at 3123 Union Street in Lafayette around 10 a.m. Witnesses say a black male in his mid-to-late 20s, standing about 5'10" with a medium build demanded money, but displayed no weapon. The man was wearing a dark coat, dark jeans, a dark baseball cap and a white bandana over his face.

The man received an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was injured during the robbery and there were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
