All afternoon inside activities are canceled at Greenwood High School after a bomb threat prompted an evacuation.
It happened at 2:00 pm, half an hour before school was scheduled to let out for the day.
The Greenwood schools superintendent says a student reported to an assistant principal that a note was found in a school bathroom. The note indicated that there was a bomb in the high school.
Students were taken to the football field while police checked it out. Parents and patrons of the school district were notified of the incident via robocall.
Students were dismissed from the football field at 2:30, the usual time. As of 3:45 pm, search of the building was wrapping up and nothing was found.
Outdoor activities (sports practice etc.) will be held as usual. After school activities that were scheduled for inside the building were either canceled or moved outside.
