A 12-acre corn maze in the likeness of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is about to open in northeastern Indiana.
The maze is part of a fall festival that Larry Smith started on his family's farm near the DeKalb County town of Waterloo four years ago.
Smith tells The Star of Auburn he and a crew of four others laid out a grid for the design in July and cut the corn when it was 6 inches tall. The remaining corn is now more than 10 feet tall.
Smith says he has invited Luck to visit the maze about 25 miles north of Fort Wayne. Smith estimates the maze could help draw some 10,000 people to the festival during the six weeks it's open starting Saturday.
