CARMEL -

Carmel Police are looking for a man who assaulted a teenage girl with a stun gun Saturday night.

It happened around 10:40 pm in the parking lot of Biaggi's restaurant at 14299 Clay Terrace Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they found the girl in the parking lot east of the restaurant. She told police she was walking to her car when a man used a stun gun to attack her. The suspect fled in a white four-door Oldsmobile Cutlass, last seen headed north on Clay Terrace Boulevard approaching 146th St.

The victim had minor injuries to her back and shoulder. She was taken to Carmel St. Vincent Hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late twenties, 5'10" to 5'11", brown eyes with partial beard. He was wearing a hood over his head. No license plate number was provided for the vehicle.

The news has some Clay Terrace customers on edge.

"It's frightening because I have children myself," said Rebecca Ahmed, who says she's always felt safe shopping at Clay Terrace.

Still, Ahmed says she's always kept her guard up, and will do that even more after hearing about Saturday's attack.

"I always look around, but I am not terrified.  This is a safe place to live but things happen everywhere," she said.

"I am from a small town. You don't lock your doors or your car or nothing," said Patricia Tragesser, who was shocked by the incident.

"I travel here all times of the day. I am up here and I bring my kids up here a lot," she said.

Now Tragesser wants to see more Carmel Police and security guards at Clay Terrace.

Although the assault seems to be an isolated case, Carmel Police hope someone can help them find the man responsible for the stun gun attack.

Police are asking that if anyone has information on this battery to contact the Carmel Police Department Investigations Division at 571-2511.
