Rail collapse injures two fans at Lucas Oil Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS -

Two football fans were injured Sunday when a rail collapsed at Lucas Oil Stadium after Indianapolis defeated Oakland 21-17.

Those nearby said the fans were leaning against a railing in Section 148 above the tunnel used by the Oakland Raiders. When it gave way, the fans fell onto the walkway that led to the team's locker rooms.

One fan was taken away on a stretcher and another, witnesses said, left in a wheelchair, though the Colts would not confirm that.

Capital Improvement Board Executive Director Barney Levengood said neither appeared to be seriously injured, and added that the accident is under investigation.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
