Ball State quarterback Keith Wenning was back on the practice field five days after having arthroscopic surgery to repair his left knee on Aug. 3.
Then three weeks after returning to practice, he threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores in a 51-28 season-opening win over Illinois State last Thursday.
He's one of the best quarterbacks in the state of Indiana with quarterback inconsistencies at the Big Ten's Indiana Hoosiers and Purdue Boilermakers.
Now, as a senior, Wenning is feeling better than ever and ready to lead the Cardinals to a second straight bowl game.
But first, the Cardinals will need his help on Saturday when they host the Army Black Knights.
