Singer Miley Cyrus stole the show during Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards. Cyrus took over the stage with gigantic, dancing bears and more twerking than viewers knew what to do with.
The 20-year-old pop star stepped out onto the stage, wearing a fuzzy gray leotard, as her hit single, "We Can't Stop," played. An animated and uninhibited performer, Cyrus' dance moves were a clear departure from her "Hannah Montana" days.
When she reached the end of her song, the singer stripped down to a flesh-toned latex bra and matching underwear and began to perform "Blurred Lines" alongside Robin Thicke.
Last night's VMAs were also memorable for Justin Timberlake. He won the top honor for "Mirrors" on the same night he reunited briefly with 'N Sync and received the Michael Jackson Vanguard Video Award on Sunday as the awards debuted in Brooklyn.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also won big, taking home best hip-hop video for "Can't Hold Us" and best video with a social message for "Same Love," a marriage equality anthem. Other winners included Taylor Swift, One Direction, Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
