Game ends with Colts win 27-6 over the Browns.

Following the Colts touchdown the Browns drove down the field and got on the scoreboard with a 50-yard field goal. Colts lead 17 to 3 with 5:39 left in the third quarter.

After the defense held the Browns on their first possession of the second half the Colts offense drove down the field and scored on an 8-yard pass from Andrew Luck to TY Hilton.  The Colts lead 17 to 0 with 11:12 left in the third quarter.

The Colts defense were able to keep Cleveland deep in their own territory but the offense were not able to capitalize and the score stayed at 10 to 0 as the first half ended. 

The Browns came up with a big stop inside the five-yard line with an interception of a tipped pass from Andrew Luck late in the second quarter. 

The Colts drove down the field after a stop by the defense and scored on a three-yard pass from Luck to Havili to extend the lead to 10 to 0 with 8:12 left before halftime.

The Colts took the opening kick-off and drove down to the Browns 14-yard line before getting stopped and settling for a Adam Vinatieri 32-yard field goal to lead 3 - 0 with 8:52 to go in the first quarter.

Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Colts, 1-1, host the Browns, 2-0, for the second straight year as both clubs reach the important third weekend of preseason action.

The Colts are coming off a 20-12 victory last Sunday at the New York Giants, while Cleveland beat Detroit, 24-6, on Thursday, August 15 at home.

The Colts will be closing out the home portion of the preseason schedule in meeting the Browns. Indianapolis dropped a 44-20 decision to Buffalo on August 11.

Cleveland opened its preseason action with a 27-19 victory over St. Louis on August 8. The Colts finish preseason on Thursday, August 29 at Cincinnati, while Cleveland plays that night in Chicago.

Cleveland visited Indianapolis last October 21, with the Colts winning, 17-13.

The Colts surrendered but 55 rushing yards to Cleveland, while Andrew Luck had a three-yard rushing touchdown 7:37 into a game the Colts never trailed.

Ahead 7-6, Luck scored on a five-yard rush midway through the second quarter to cap a 14-play, 76-yard drive. Indianapolis led at intermission, 14-6.

After Cleveland narrowed the margin to 14-13, the Colts went on a 17-play drive that featured third- and fourth-down conversions, and Adam Vinatieri's 38-yard field goal provided the final points as the 17-13 score held up over the game's final 18 minutes.
