A teenage girl claims she was sexually assaulted in a high school classroom.
An 18-year-old girl claims a 17-year-old boy assaulted her at Franklin Central High School on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Metro Police are investigating the allegations.
It comes just days after a report of boy exposing himself at a Franklin Township Middle School.
Superintendent Dr. Flora J. Reichanadter issued this statement:
"Safety is one of our highest priorities. We are very fortunate to have our own district police department and the resources of the IMPD when we need further assistance. Unfortunately there are occasions when as a school district we must investigate a situation that comes to our attention because we find out that someone may have made a bad decision or poor choice. We are currently investigating these allegations and will act accordingly. It is our expectation that students behave appropriately and if they do not we will act swiftly in order to maintain a safe environment for our school community. In the meantime, we are fully cooperating with the IMPD detectives and Child Protection Services which we specifically called in to assist in the high school allegation."
