The Indiana Pacers will open the preseason Oct. 5 by hosting Chicago before heading to the Pacific Rim for two games against Western Conference contender Houston.
The two teams will meet Oct. 10 in the Philippines and Oct. 13 in Taiwan. It adds to a high-profile trend for Indiana, which will appear on national television 17 times during the regular season.
A year ago, the Pacers struggled to gain national acclaim but still managed to take two-time defending NBA champion Miami to a seventh game in the Eastern Conference finals.
Indiana returns to Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Oct. 16 against Dallas before finishing the preseason with four consecutive road games - Oct. 18 at Chicago, Oct. 19 at Cleveland, Oct. 22 at Atlanta and Oct. 25 at Dallas.
