Police in central Indiana say a man was killed when the tractor he was driving tipped over on an incline and crushed him.
Bartholomew County sheriff's Maj. Todd Noblitt says the man was cutting grass and vegetation on land northeast of Columbus when he was fatally injured Monday evening.
Noblitt tells The Republic that the tractor was pulling a bush hog to clear the area on a 45- to 50-degree incline.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Fifty-six-year-old John Baute of Hope was pronounced dead at the scene.
