Lanes of I-65 were closed early Sunday morning after two semis crashed because one of them lost its load when it attempted to go under the Virginia Street bridge.
Indiana State Police say the machinery fell off the flatbed of the semi-trailer because it was too tall to go under the bridge.
Another semi that was following close behind, then hit the machinery in the road.
Police say both truck drivers did stop after the accident and were cooperating with the investigation.
Officials say they believe the driver that lost the load did not have the proper license to drive a semi.
At least 2 lanes of I-65 were closed for about 2 hours while the crash was cleaned up.
Indiana Department of Transportation officials are warning drivers to be prepared for delays on Interstate 65 in Southern Indiana as work begins on the Ohio River Bridges Project.
