Prospective employees were showing up even before a job fair started Wednesday.
The first person in line for a job at a new Walmart Neighborhood Market showed up an hour before the official start time.
The new store currently under construction on the west side at I-465 and 10th Street is scheduled to open September 18th. Wednesday morning, several dozen people applied for the 95 jobs that will be available in virtually every department.
"I think it would be a good place to work. Walmart's a big company and they offer advancement and opportunity within the company and that's something that I'm looking for," said Paul Musilli, job seeker.
The job fair continues at Speedway Christian Church on 14th Street until 4:00 pm. After Wednesday, you can still apply at the Walmart at 86th and Michigan Road, or online.
