A foundation trying to raise millions of dollars for new permanent exhibits at southern Indiana's Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center has received a big gift.
The James Graham Brown Foundation has selected the Falls of the Ohio Foundation for a $500,000 challenge grant to help raise money for the new exhibits.
The Brown Foundation will match $1 dollar for every $2 the Falls Foundation raises for its Crossroads Campaign for New Exhibits through the end of November.
The Louisville Courier-Journal reports the Falls Foundation is nearing its $5.5 million campaign goal to redesign and replace the permanent exhibits at the state-run interpretive center along the Ohio River in Clarksville. Exhibits haven't been updated since the museum opened in 1994.
