The state transportation department wants to remind people in Indianapolis of the 90-day interstate closing that could lead to some confusion next month.
Crews will close I-65 and I-70 in Indianapolis at the south split as they lower the roadway by several inches under the Virginia Avenue Bridge.
The work begins in August and could last up to three months.
INDOT videotaped many semis scraping or even slamming into the underside of the Virginia Avenue Bridge.
By lowering pavement, large vehicles should have more clearance.
The state held an open house meeting Thursday afternoon about the project.
Drivers will soon see message boards and signs about the upcoming interstate closure.
