A club manager in Kansas City got a real surprise during her break Saturday while Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros were playing.
Her boyfriend not only proposed, but they got married on the spot. The Kansas City Star reports guitarist Christian Letts performed the marriage for Desiree Beaupre and Jordan Hayes, who had been dating for nine years.
Hayes had been in contact with the band for a month to see if they'd let him propose on stage, but he didn't get a yes until that morning. The band played "Home" while Hayes proposed.
They played a cover of "Sea of Love" for their first dance. Beaupre says she had no doubts about getting married so quickly. The only problem was she had to go back to work, because she was technically still on the clock.
