INDIANAPOLIS -

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says it has identified a juvenile and an adult in connection with the taxi cab robbery at 12th and Pershing.

The robbery took place Sunday night. No arrests have been made. Police are looking for suspect Jeffery Carruthers, who is wanted for questioning.

Meantime, an Indianapolis taxi company is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of three suspects who robbed one of their cab drivers at gunpoint late Sunday night.

The driver for Yellow Cab was dispatched to West 12th Street and North Pershing Avenue to pick up someone named "Dejuan" around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Three men approached the vehicle, with two getting inside the cab as the other man waited on the sidewalk.

The 33-year-old driver said one of the suspects pointed a small, silver handgun at the side of his head, demanding everything he had. One of the suspects emptied the driver's pockets, taking $12 in cash, his house and car keys and his wallet.

The driver told police he recognized one of the suspects as a client he had picked up months ago.

One suspect was described to be a thin, clean shaven black male, between 17-23 years old and approximately 5'9" tall. He was wearing a reddish-brown hoodie and dark jeans. The armed suspect was described to be in his teens and was wearing a white hoodie.

A description of the third suspect is unknown at this time.

Call 317-262-TIPS with relevant information.
