A good fit. That's how Pacers Team President Larry Bird describes the team's first round draft pick Solomon Hill.
The Pacers introduced the 6-foot-7 Hill from the University of Arizona University to the media Monday morning.
Many draft pundits questioned the Pacers selection of Hill as the 23rd pick, but Bird addressed that.
"If you're going to be a good player, it doesn't matter where you're drafted. It's if you're a good fit. We think he's a good fit," said Bird.
Hill says draft night was very emotional for him and his family. "During the draft, I was with my mother and it was an emotional moment for me."
The Pacers are counting on Hill's defensive abilities to help what is already one of the league's best defenses.
