The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is working a traffic accident that has left two people injured with one being very critical.

Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to State Road 37 just south of Smith Valley Road just before 5 p.m. Saturday.

A 2002 Harley Davidson was traveling north on State Road 37 in the fast lane with the operator and a passenger. A 2004 Chevrolet pick up truck was also north on State Road 37 in the slow lane. The motorcycle operator was trying to switch from the fast lane to the slow lane and moved over against the Chevrolet truck. The motorcycle then lost control and crashed ejecting the two (male and female) from the bike.

Both were transported to Methodist Hospital.

The female left the scene in critical condition.

The Sheriff's Office is not going to release the name of the rider or passenger until we know that family has been notified.

The rider and passenger are believed to be husband and wife. The driver of the pick up truck was taken for a standard breath test for a serious accident. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor on his part.
