The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up mandatory minicamp on Thursday, though players won't take much of a break before training camp at Anderson University in July.
Now the team heads home with an emphasis on getting rest and mentally prepared. Colts coach Chuck Pagano also wants the team in top shape and familiar with the playbook by that time. And so far, so good. Pagano says he was happy with how the team progressed in organized team activities and throughout minicamp.
The Colts finished 11-5 last season and lost in a wildcard game to the Baltimore Ravens. They open the preseason when they host the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 11 and the regular season on Sept. 8 when they host the Oakland Raiders.
