The new CEO of the company that owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is looking for ways to fill the grandstands during the rest of May, not just for the 500. Hulman & Co Mark Miles says the track needs to offer more entertainment on other days besides race day and Carburetion Day. The Indianapolis Star reports crowds were estimated at 75,000 for Carb Day and a quarter of a million for race day. But Miles wants to bring more crowds on the other 17 days the track is open during May. Miles is seeking suggestions for how to "invigorate" May.
