JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -

A southwestern Indiana man is facing a death penalty murder and arson trial for allegedly setting a 2010 fire that killed his fiancee's two children.

Jeffrey Weisheit's trial is scheduled for opening arguments Monday morning before a jury in Jeffersonville that will be sequestered throughout the trial. The 37-year-old's trial was moved from Evansville to Jeffersonville because of extensive media coverage of the fatal 2010 fire.

The bodies of 8-year-old Alyssa Lynch and 5-year-old Caleb Lynch were found inside the Vanderburgh County home Weisheit shared with the children's mother, Lisa Lynch.

Prosecutors have said they'll call as many as 30 witnesses during Weisheit's trial. The two sides are expected to present both factual witnesses and expert witnesses.
